The Kansas Heritage Server would like to thank Anna Mae Van Every (ab.van@verizon.net) for contributing this information.
I have an old picture of Cameron School in Harper County. Would you like for me to scan it and send it to you? As a former Kansas, I was thrilled to find your project on the web. It is wonderful. My expertise at scanning is strictly novice category so I hope this picture will be useful to you. The original is a snapshot which appears to have been taped in a photo album, and, as you can see, my mother-in-law wrote on it. It is in JPEG format. My husband's aunt, Mamie Van Every, taught second grade at Cameron School Dist. #89, Harper County, Kansas in 1906. Salary was $50. She also taught in Silver Creek School Dist. #29 in 1908, Grade, 3, same salary in 1908.
